The Prior Lake girls’ soccer team made the most of their only game last week, shutting out cross-town rival Shakopee 5–0 on Sept. 23.
Mila Macias led the attack with two goals and an assist and earned Player of the Game honors. Lauren Schindler added a goal and an assist, while Ali Torres and Ellie Ohlmann each scored once. Abby Otte and Makenna Lyons also chipped in with assists. The Lakers controlled play from start to finish and locked down defensively for their sixth shutout of the season. They now stand at 8–5–1 overall.
Up next, Prior Lake hosted Farmington on Monday, Sept. 29, for Senior Night, and honored 12 seniors who will all leave a lasting impression on the program.
The Lakers closed out the regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 1, with a road match at Eastview before section playoffs begin next week.
